The Ontario government has released the Public Accounts which summarize the province’s financial position at the end of the 2018-19 fiscal year, which ended March 31, 2019.
The related press release, which can be found on the Ontario Finance website at https://news.ontario.ca/tbs/en/2019/09/ontario-releases-2018-19-public-accounts.html,indicated that, owing to higher than anticipated revenues, the deficit for the year fell from the projection of $15 billion to $7.4 billion.
More details of the province’s financial picture for the year, including overall revenue and expenditure figures, can be found in the full Public Accounts, which are available on the Ontario government website at https://www.ontario.ca/page/public-accounts-ontario-2018-19?_ga=2.16246835.466639133.1568817368-514306973.1549471376.
